Sledge TV Makes it to the Airwaves

Rudy Murillo | Apr 03, 2009

So our awards show recap aired tonight on the CW, and as soon as it started I got about 20 texts saying there was no audio! Turns out the CW was having a few problems with the audio board, but it was eventually fixed and the show went on. Shit happens, and at the same time I was extremely grateful that our show was even making it to the airwaves.

With that being said, I would really like to use this blog to thank all the people who put their hard work into our little project here. This show would not be what is was if it weren't for everybody's help. Sho, Alejandra, Jay... you guys did an amazing job and not once did you ever complain. Jerry, you did a magnificent job on the mic and you really made it a fun time for everybody. Vince and Mando... thank you guys for the awesome camera work. This is probably the easiest time I've ever had editing a show. The 3 camera setup was awesome. Louie Chavez... The awards were amazing! I wanted to keep them for myself. Because of you, all the winners have a piece of art hanging on thier walls. I also want to thank all of our sponsors, The CW, Lazy Daze, Palms Sushi Lounge, Budman, HQ Systems, Studio V2, Kripto GFX, Peter, the lovely awards girls, Sound Art Space, The Pop Rocks, Kirsten Crow, Gabriel Holguin, Max & Victoria, Narcolepsy, Ant Leon, Bones, Elite, Bacchanalian Bliss, FO9, The Shazz/DESTRO, and last but not least my parents... I don't know why you guys always go along with my ideas, but thank you.

To all the artists... this is for you. We hope to continue to do what we can to support every single one of our local acts. The talent is here... it just needs exposure. Slowly, there is not only a music scene, but a whole art community being built. The more we can all support each other, the more successful we will all be.

We want Sledge TV, The Nightscene, Shock & Awe, and all our other ventures to keep growing, so tell us what you think! Give us some feedback!

We'll be adding some more categories for next year's awards so if you have an suggestions, let us hear them.

One last thing, our NEW website is almost ready to be launched, so keep an eye out for it.

We tight.
